Kyle Murray Knows Cardinals Taking Next Step ‘Starts With Me’

The Arizona Cardinals went into their bye week with a 5-2 record, certainly well positioned for a strong second half of the season. A subsequent 34-31 loss to the Miami Dolphins was emphatically erased after a walkoff 32-30 victory against the Buffalo Bills on November 15.

Unfortunately, the 6-3 Cardinals couldn’t continue to build momentum after the last-second Hail Mary, losing their next three games and five of their final seven to finish the season at an even 8-8.

DeAndre Hopkins Trade Began ‘Trickle-Down’ Effect for Texans’ Tough Season

In a year dominated by the coronavirus pandemic, there was another event that had a ripple effect throughout the NFL. On March 22, the Houston Texans traded All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and a fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft to the Arizona Cardinals for running back David Johnson, a 2020 second-round pick, and a 2021 fourth-round pick.
